MxHacks 2022
MxHacks was back for 2022! The biggest low-code hackathon in the world took place in Boston, London, Rotterdam, and Singapore (and remotely from undisclosed hacker hideouts) on September 23rd and 24th with over 400 teams taking part globally.
The hackathon event challenged the Mendix maker community to use low-code for good, building solutions for nonprofits that make a positive impact in the world. Three nonprofit organisations were selected by Mendix and the teams were challenged to build solutions that improve lives, safeguard the environment, conquer disease, fight for justice, or advance other good causes. All this taking place alongside expert-hosted workshops and training opportunities offered by certified trainers.
As a Mendix partner, AuraQ was proud to both sponsor and organise the in-person event in London where we welcomed teams of clients, partners and students at our venue, The depot_Old Street. Thank you to all of our fellow Mendix developers for an exciting weekend filled with learning, connecting, and fun, mixed in with a healthy dose of competition.
Topping off the event, we are delighted to announce that AuraQ team “HackySacks” created the winning app for the EMEA region! Hacking their hearts for 36 hours, the team worked tirelessly to build a solution for Welcome App – the chosen EMEA not-for-profit organisation and we are elated to have won MxHacks for the second consecutive year.
