Tom Worthington

Technical Consulting Manager

Tom is an experienced Mendix Expert Certified Developer with extensive UI/UX skills and a strong background in delivering process automation solutions across multiple industries. He combines deep technical expertise with consultancy experience to help clients streamline processes and implement effective technology solutions.

As Technical Consulting Manager, Tom oversees the AuraQ development team, leading consulting engagements, guiding project delivery, and ensuring solutions meet client requirements. He also mentors colleagues, shares best practices, and drives continuous improvement across the team, blending hands-on development expertise with strategic oversight.

Matthew Pratley

Lead Consultant

Matt holds a Master’s degree in Physics, bringing strong analytical, problem‑solving, and software engineering skills to his role at AuraQ. He has experience working with both private and public sector clients and a proven track record of delivering complex projects successfully.

A Mendix Expert Developer, Matt is also a Certified ScrumMaster. Most recently, he led a team of eight developers on a large-scale retail transformation programme — overseeing a migration from a legacy low‑code platform to Mendix, and delivering multiple applications designed to modernise business processes and streamline operations across a major retail network. His leadership helped ensure a smooth transition, high-quality delivery, and strong team collaboration throughout.

Rina Forster

Principal Business Analyst

Rina is a practiced consultant with extensive experience in analysing, developing, and supporting process automation solutions. She began her career with a strong background in Business Process Management (BPM) and technical development, and has since transitioned into a Business Analyst role, using her people skills to interpret client requirements and bridge the gap with technical teams.

Since joining AuraQ in 2013, Rina has worked with a range of high-profile clients, applying her combined technical and consultancy expertise to deliver solutions that meet business objectives. Holding a degree in Information Technology for Business, she ensures requirements are clearly understood and projects are delivered efficiently.

Paul Smith

Lead Consultant

Paul is an experienced software developer with a degree in Computer Science, specialising in Games Development. He brings a broad, well-rounded approach to product development, with experience across multiple programming languages and modern development practices.

Paul has delivered solutions across a range of technology platforms and industries, including legal, finance, insurance, retail, and utilities. As a Mendix Certified Advanced Developer, he designs and builds scalable low-code applications, integrating systems and delivering process automation solutions that tackle complex business challenges effectively, while helping clients achieve measurable improvements in productivity and performance.

Adeeb holds a First-Class Honours Degree in Computer Science from the University of Bradford. As a standout graduate from AuraQ’s development scheme, he has built on his academic skills to develop strong expertise in low-code development.

Adeeb has progressed through his Mendix Rapid and Intermediate certifications and is now an Mendix Certified Advanced Developer. He has contributed to multiple client projects, including significant work within the insurance sector, refining his project delivery skills. Senior Consultant

Doug holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and has strong expertise in object-oriented programming, developed through projects in Java, Swift, and C++.

Since joining AuraQ, Douglas has progressed to Mendix Certified Advanced Developer and has contributed to multiple low-code delivery projects across the private and public sectors, including acting as Lead Developer on several initiatives for a leading global packaging company, where he helped streamline processes and deliver robust business solutions. Gareth Jackson

Principal Consultant

Gareth is an experienced software developer with over 20 years in the industry, including 12 years dedicated to contracting to a major global trading and investment firm, applying his extensive development experience to delivering Metastorm MBPM solutions, integrating systems and automating complex business processes to help the client improve efficiency and performance.

Gareth is now expanding his expertise by exploring Kubernetes and containerised application deployment, further enhancing his ability to deliver modern, scalable solutions.

Jason is an experienced developer with over 25 years in the industry. He holds a degree in Computing and has extensive experience working as a technical lead, with expertise spanning pre-sales, running requirements workshops, solution architecture, upfront design, development, testing, and deployment of solutions.

Having delivered numerous business process management, case management, and content-enabled applications across a wide range of sectors, Jason is highly skilled in analysis and technical development, with extensive experience in systems and workflow integration. He now also leads AuraQ’s App Development Testing team, ensuring our Mendix solutions are rigorously tested and delivered to the highest standards for clients.

Josh Simmons

Lead Consultant

Josh graduated from the University of Worcester with a degree in Computer Games Design and Development. Since joining AuraQ as a Graduate Software Developer in 2015, he has progressed to become a Lead Developer and a Mendix Advanced Certified Developer, delivering low-code solutions for global clients, including a major supermarket retailer.

Josh is an experienced and confident developer who has worked across multiple projects in the legal, finance, and insurance sectors. He brings technical expertise and practical insight to every project, creating scalable, efficient, and innovative applications that meet client needs.

Kevin Spreadbury

Principal Consultant

Kevin is an experienced senior member of the AuraQ technical team with almost 30 years’ experience, delivering process consultancy for both public and private sector organisations. He is a confident analyst and designer with knowledge of the full commercial and development lifecycle, from pre-sales through to post-implementation and training delivery.

Kevin has an extensive understanding of BPM and has built an excellent reputation with the clients he has worked for. He has applied his expertise to major projects, including delivering a Metastorm MBPM solution for a leading financial institution, where he helped streamline business processes and implement robust workflow solutions.

Renato Pastar

Consultant

Luca has delivered multiple low-code projects for global insurance clients and has also contributed to a large-scale application for a leading supermarket retailer, gaining valuable project experience and demonstrating strong technical and client-facing skills. Lead Consultant

Neil’s background is in process improvement and data, bringing a strong business-led perspective to technology delivery. Coming from a business rather than a computer science background, he has extensive experience engaging with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translating those needs into effective, technology-driven solutions that automate manual tasks and support better decision-making.

As a Mendix Advanced Certified Developer, Neil designs and delivers low-code software solutions that enhance workflows and operational efficiency. He works closely with clients across both the UK and US, leading requirements discussions and ensuring solutions are aligned with business needs, while balancing project delivery with the demands of business-as-usual operations.

Matthew Waite

Application Support

Matthew holds a joint Maths and Computing degree, graduating with First-Class Honours, and brings strong skills in data analysis, problem-solving, and software development. He has worked on a number of client-facing projects using both low-code development tools and BPM platforms, contributing to development and testing to ensure robust, reliable applications.

Matthew has now moved into an Application Support role, where he is responsible for maintaining live systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring applications continue to meet client requirements. He also supports process improvements and liaises with clients to provide guidance and resolution, combining his technical expertise with a focus on operational reliability.

Paul Dale

Lead Consultant

Paul is a highly motivated software developer who joined AuraQ in 2014. Holding a First-Class degree in Computer Games and Multimedia Development, he brings broad experience across multiple platforms, technologies, and software solutions, and is a Mendix Expert Certified Developer.

His projects include leading a major insurance-sector delivery for a global broker, taking responsibility for technical direction and managing a team of Mendix developers and BA’s. With experience across low-code, BPM, and automation platforms, Paul has a strong understanding of the full development lifecycle and has also delivered external technical training across Europe, sharing his knowledge with clients and colleagues alike.

Consultant

Jamie is a Software Engineering graduate who gained his bachelor’s degree while working as an Apprentice Mendix developer at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). This role helped him build a strong technical foundation and hands-on experience delivering low-code solutions.

Jamie is a Mendix Advanced Certified Developer and also has experience with Microsoft PowerApps, giving him the advantage of understanding multiple low-code platforms and how to select the right approach for different business needs. Matt brings over 20 years of experience in software supply, business improvement, and strategy. Having previously served as a Director at a legal software supplier and assisted firms in adopting ERP systems, he now leads opportunities at AuraQ, helping organisations achieve their strategic goals and objectives.

With extensive experience guiding clients to leverage the latest technologies, Matt focuses on driving efficiency, commercial advantage, and growth. He works closely with partners, prospects, and clients to identify opportunities for process automation and improvement, using low-code solutions to deliver faster, smarter, and more streamlined outcomes. He is passionate about helping organisations transform their operations and realise tangible business value through practical, innovative technology.

Holly Miller

Marketing Director

Holly has over 20 years of experience in process automation and software development and has been shaping AuraQ’s marketing strategy since 2014. As Marketing Director, she leads the development of the AuraQ brand, drives demand generation, and ensures the company’s messaging and positioning effectively reach clients and partners.

Holly works closely with internal teams and external partners to create campaigns, content, and events that showcase AuraQ’s expertise in low-code and automation solutions. Sherilley Leach
