The Challenge
Digital Technologies Group (DTG) recognised the growing need for manufacturers in highly regulated industries to better understand, measure and manage cybersecurity risk. Existing approaches made it difficult to quantify risk, prioritise mitigation activities and communicate security issues effectively across the business.
DTG set out to create a commercial software product that would transform industrial cyber risk management, but traditional development approaches were too costly, time-consuming and inflexible. They needed a scalable technology platform and an experienced Mendix delivery partner to accelerate development, reduce time to market and establish a foundation for future product innovation.
The Solution
AuraQ partnered with DTG to design and build CAST, an innovative industrial cybersecurity platform developed on the Mendix low-code platform. Delivered in just 39 days, CAST provides manufacturers with a complete lifecycle approach to managing cyber risk through asset visibility, compliance assessments, intuitive dashboards, action planning and continuous risk management.
Working as an extension of DTG's team, AuraQ combined technical expertise with best practice architecture, governance and security to rapidly deliver a scalable commercial software product. The collaborative approach also enabled DTG to develop in-house Mendix capability while accelerating future product development.
