Second Place for AuraQ in MXHacks UK

Following on from our success at Mendix World, AuraQ is thrilled to have come second in MXHacks UK. The one day ‘Art of the Possible’ hackathon was part of Mendix on Tour UK – The Future of App Development conference. 

Again, demonstrating what can be built in a very short amount of time using low-code, the teams had just 7 hours to build an entirely new app from scratch which was in support of The Royal Mencap Society.  The AuraQ team decided upon building an app that would be carer focused and user friendly, with simple and easy to understand controls and a responsive design so that it worked across desktop, tablet and mobile. The app included integrations such as live chat using Pusher and Speech to Text / Text to Speech functionality provided through integration with Microsoft Azure cognitive services. 

Concluding the one day event, AuraQ were announced as second place winners on the main stage. Again, we are very proud of our team of four who worked tirelessly over the course of the hackathon! Read more about what the hackathon involved and the winning app in our blog.
